Frequently
Asked Questions
Tell me about your clients:
We have designed more than 300 sites for clients ranging
from small and mid-sized businesses,
professional practices, sports
programs, municipalities, online
shops and non-profit organizations.
You can visit many of them by
clicking on the clients menu link
above. Most have email links on
their pages, and we encourage you to
email them and inquire about their
experiences with us.
Tell me about your company:

How
do you conduct your projects? Some
basic principles?
-
We do not take jobs from companies in direct
competition with each other.
-
All code developed in the course of a project belongs
to the client on a non-exclusive
basis on final payment.
-
We are committed to the understanding of your
business and its goals as the
essential base of a successful
site.
-
In the process of design we will convey our opinion,
but it is your site and we will
be guided by your wishes.
-
Communication is key to successful design projects.
We work hard to ensure we
communicate well throughout
-
We believe that successful sites are free of error,
and we will ensure an error free
site.
-
Our goal is long term clients, and we work to make
that goal a reality.
Will you be taking on other clients while working on my
project?
Yes, we try to be sure that work is completed in
timely fashion. Since most of our
projects require activities by both
the client and ourselves there are
"down times" waiting for material.
We balance this by having a variety
of projects in the works. This
avoids undue pressure on the client
to have completed copy or graphics
at the start of the project. We
establish target dates with clients
at the outset of a project.
When
do you get paid?
For web design, one-third of the estimated fee based
on the initial count of pages is due
on agreement; the balance is due
when the client is satisfied and
before the site is published live to
the web. For site promotion package
fee, the fee is due at the
completion of the project. Monthly
promotion and maintenance fees are
invoiced at the end of each month.
What
other costs are there in building a
web site?
All web sites need a domain name (www....) and that
costs $10/ year. Most sites
physically exist on leased computer
space and that costs $4/month
($48/year). If you are selling
products online fees can range from
about 3% to a lower percentaqe but
carrying higher processing costs. . These fees are all payable to
the respective service companies,
although we can assist in setting up
these accounts for you.
